Previewing a report from a telnet session using FTP queue.
From a telnet session (using a graphical telnet client for Windows (netterm, kea, etc)) is possible to preview a report using the report viewer.

First thing to do this is to start print server in the client machine configured to search for reports on the server via FTP.

In the server must exist a dedicated directory for the user: for example this could be /usr/rpvqueues/george.
The print server must be searching on that directory for reports permanently (5 to 10 seconds is good).

Your application, running on the unix server, must generate and place the reports on the directory of the right user and Rpv reports must have the option OPEN_VIEW on their configuration section.

This procedure is just like to have the print server running for a unix server but the difference will be in that the report won't be sent to the printer automatically. Instead, print server will open the viewer for the user.

The effect of this will be that your user works with a terminal session, and from it, a window will appear on the screen with the contents of the report.
